Spring 2007-January 3: Quota Warning System Put in Place

In order to allow course owners to know where they stand in their use of space on the Blackboard content system, the ELMS server administration has put into place a 2-tier warning system. This system will let course owners know when they are in danger of exceeding the quota limits assigned to their courses—specifically the course content area.

There are two settings: “Warn Instructor when course size exceeds”, which is automatically sent when the size of your course reaches 120 MB, and “Maximum course disk size exceeded”, which by default is set to 150 MB. This is for the My Course Content space only. Users have a 500 MB quota for their My Content area on the Blackboard content system.
